Lazy Slob
The last couple of days I've noticed a very quiet screech coming from my dsl filter. It's at about a two minute interval and it lasts for about a 1/4 second. For the life of me I can't figure out what, why or how. Anybody deal with this before?

Sounds like the bitch needs to be cut loose...or a

usually works out nicely as well

I don't think so. The thing is, it sounds like it's coming from the wall where the line is connected. It's like a short screeching beep.

Either way you probably need to contact you ISP and have them come out and take a look at it. It's their equipment and they need to take a look a t it you're not responsible for fixing it. Also they will fix the line if it's theirs also.

You might have a line that went bad and it's arching, if so you definitely need to get it replaced.

Of course Kyle could be right and you should just burn the bitch down!!

Power surge or cell tower interference would be my guess.

Call a repair man.
