Four things:

1. I saw the Scorpions at the Akron Rubber Bowl as part of the "Monsters of Rock" (Kingdom Come, Dokken, Metallica, The Scorpions, Van Halen) circa 1989.

2. While we were there for Van Halen, they actually weren't that good that day and the Scorpions absolutely rocked. Who woulda thunk it?

3. I was stunned to find out the other day that the Scorpions became a band in 1965: I'd assumed they'd started in the early 1980s or something.
