I am now the coach for a recreational girls softball team. Ready for this?

Age group: 6-8 year olds.

The Hilliard Girls Softball Association has 22 teams this year in this age group.

I've never coached softball, much less young kids at softball, so this should be a real treat.

Have any of you coached a sport at this age level?

Never Coached that age group, but I did Umpire some games of that age group. Just one thought.....Good luck with the parents.

That's the part i dread the most. But hopefully, I'll keep them involved and busy enough to not have time to get stupid.

As long as the parents all understand that the team's goal is not to win the 6-8 years old Softball National Championship, then hopefully they can just enjoy watching the kids learn and play.

Start out the first day with gassers so every player and parent knows you mean business

Nice. I was thinking 8 count body builders but gasses is good too...
