School of Shock....Treatment

I have read only a couple articles on this so I am still up in the air as to how much is factual and how much isn't but seriously, shock treatment on a kid as young as nine? How is this in any way beneficial?

If you hit your dog when he does something bad, he may not do that anymore, but now he has also learned to fear your hand and cowers when you raise it. I can understand spanking your kid but is there really ever a time when a disabled kid's behavior is SO BAD they need to be electrocuted?
