"The Shoe" in a "Scarlet Out" with the crowd involved even in the slightest amount resembling the Ohio State/USC game of 2009 would impress just about anyone IMO!!!

if the kid needs color coordinated crowds to cheer him on then that's his issue, not the fans.

I was not referring to the color itself but "The Shoe" being in a frenzy. Then again maybe you prefer the relaxed melo atmosphere of say Peden Stadium.

Laundry does not make the atmosphere, lungs do.

What thump said.....

I don't give a damn about color coordinated bullshit in the stands. I care about what's going on during the game.

"Frenzy" "Crowd Involved" I was implying that. Didn't know I had to break it down

This thread is a bucket of FAIL.

We're Ohio Fucking State. We don't need gimmicky bullshit to pack the house with 100,000+ fans and kick some ass. That kind of stuff is for wannabe schools looking to pull an "upset" against someone who is better than them.

What's next, a "black out" with black jerseys? :roll1:

I think color outs are stupid gimmicks, especially since they are mimicking the school who.has hardly any traditions that weren't stolen, including that one.

That said, the change is pronounced when OSU holds a color out and looks how it should without.scheduled gimmicks.

First successfully executed color out game I remember was South Carolina's blackout against Florida in 2001. The gators chomped the cocks that night, but in 1996, LSU tried to have a "white out" against vandy, because vandy wouldn't let LSU wear the white jerseys at home. LSU's fans didn't respond all that great, but LSU wore some ugly assed yellow jerseys and beat vandy anyway.

Anybody remember color outs prior to 1996?

I'm pretty sure Ped State was doing white outs going back into the 80s....

Color outs were not started by CFB or PSU, just like playing/chanting seven nation army.
