Mili,

When are you flying into town? I don't have a ticket to the game, and will prob. not go... I'd like to meet you if you're in town for a few nights...

Maybe we can have a BP night out on Friday night, at a bar (outside of campus, so it will not be crazy busy... just busy)...

Plan on arriving Thursday daytime...slamming a few brews sounds like a plan to me.

UT1999 do you have a female going with you? Your best bet for tickets in actuality is probably getting them from a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><ST1:pTexas</ST1:p</st1:State>fan. Find where a good majority of them congregate before the game, older alumni especially. As to where to look id go with some hotel with alot of texas fans staying in it, or maybe at some lunch/dinner event before the game. Take that avenue especially if you have a female with you. Generally speaking the older alumni would give you a better price on the tickets, and if you have a female with you they wont be as skeptical with your intentions to actually use them rather than scalp them. My parents used this approach in <st1:City w:st="on"><ST1:pSouth Bend</ST1:pl</st1:City> for the'96 showdown, and were able to get in $20 above face, so take my word, it has yielded success in the past.<O:p</O:p

<O:p

Finally if you do resort to lane avenue, or woody hayes drive, good luck. Id be surprised if a buckeye scalper does sell you a ticket. The scalper that will without hesitation are going to be the type that don’t give two **** about the football game anyways, they are there just to make a profit.<O:p</O:p

It's on then... we'll figure out where and when (Thursday night works better than friday night for me... In OSU's great wisdom, I have a class Friday night and Sat. morning/early afternoon of game day :( for a weekend program I am going through)... I'm sure I can twist AKAK's arm and have him come along with any other BPers that want to drink a few Thursday night... plus the bars will not be near as packed (ie wait fifteen min. to get your beer after you order it)...

From a scalper at the game (where I can physically verify the validity of the ticket).
I do believe some people can find out where there tickets are earlier than when they are mailed. I'm not saying all of them are real tickets but some of them are. Also, w/ the new bar-code they have on the tickets, you need to be aware that "real" tickets may be voided out b/c they were lost or stolen.

It also looks like the Texas tickets are the highest selling tickets on ebay. You can get Tennessee Season Tickets for just a few bucks more than just this one game...

Go Buckeyes!

gbear, FKA: Looking forward to tossin' back a few with the guys. Now I just have to find another hotel to stay at, seeing as I got a voice message yesterday saying the Super 8 on Olentangy has closed down...

It's prob. booked at this point, however the Holiday Inn on Lane Ave would put you close to the shoe and Hineygate... The Facett Center isn't a far walk, nor are several motels on Olentangy. The downtown hotels will be more expensive, however they might offer a shuttle service to the game?? Are you renting a car? If yes then there are many places to go. With a night game, if you get there in the afternoon, there should be spots open on west campus, and they have a shuttle that will drop you off across the walking bridge in front of Drake Union...

UT1999 I just found out today that the texas alumni is renting out Brewmasters gate for the night before the game. You might be able to fine some tickets in there. If not come down, and have a good time anyway
Thanks, I'm sure we will make our way there. At most of the road games many of the scalpers hang around the Texas Exes parties knowing that they can sale their tickets. Unfortunately I'm usually that guy who gives (or sells at low price) to some female, but I doubt it will give me any Karma for this game.

I'll be there rain or shine, ticket or none...worst thing that can happen is that I got to watch the game on a TV somewhere around the stadium.
