Saw II / Jarhead

Scooter - I hope watching a Marine movie with you is not like watching one with my brother. He critiques everything that is done wrong.

It looks like a good movie to me.

I don't think I'm that bad. I was visibly irritated by A Few Good Men, though. It was a horrible depiction of the Marine Corps. That, and I despise everything ever related to Tom Cruise, except Nicole Kidman of course.

I saw Jarhead this past Saturday. I was really pumped to go see it.

Worst movie I have ever seen! No plot, stupid shit, and I didn't see one action war scene (that was at 1 hour and 30 minutes into it...at which time we left.)

Thats because I think the writer of the book never saw "the shit". I have seen a bunch of military folks hammer the writer for being a sellout and lying about his experiences. I dont think he is well respected in the military community anymore.

I have to admit, Jamie Foxx's "Hoorah" in the preview is pretty badass...

Watched Saw II with the wife the past weekend. We both really liked it...she sought it was better than the first one, I thought it was equal. Either way, the twist at the end was just as good as the one in the first movie.

Also caught Saw II. Didn't see the first, but it was about what I expected. Standard, formulaic "tricked yo ass" thriller. There were a few key components/main driving factors in the plot that I found a little tacked on, and frankly I would liked to have seen some more creative ways for people to die. Nevertheless, it was not a complete waste of time or money, and without giving away any of the story, I'd say the concept was sufficiently clever - I certainly did not see the end coming. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.
