San Diego St. 13, Ntre Ame 21 (Final)

One thing is for sure: Bet the under in the Ntre Ame-scUM game. I do think nd has showed some semblance of having an offense in the 4th quarter. I think they beat scUM somewhere in the vicinity of 20-13.

I thought an elbow was the same as a knee in terms of a player being down? If that's right then the runner's right elbow was clearly down before he fumbled.

An elbow would have him down, but the last angle I saw it looked like the ball was out before the elbow was down - and the ball was still short of the goal line.

Neither one was what I wanted to see, but that's what I saw.

The game will be seen in 2 ways by ND fans:

1) They won because Clausen - "Gods gift to football"

2) They struggled mightily because the rest of the players on the field were all Ty Willingham's recruits from 4+ years ago.

Nope, they struggled because SDS did a great job with the blitz and ND
still can't run the ball very well.

ND was playing a ton of young kids, if CW can coach them the future looks bright.

San Diego St lost to POLY-CAL last week. How you can watch this game and think the future is bright...is beyond me.

I bet that ND would win 6 games...it's a good thing they won this one because 6 wins is gonna be next to impossible for the mess that is ND. Look forward to the rest of their season....Get ready for Epic FAIL v 2.0

Man, playing a ton of young kids AGAIN this year??? Shit we should have all gone to ND because they never get any older there.

Young? Well, at least there is acknowledgment that they are Charlie's recruits, thats a step.

Meh, fwiw I knew SDSU would put up a fight, the Aztecs may suck but they put effort out there, they just don't have the depth. Either way, if there was a lock of the week, it was this game, 21.5? Hell, I was surprised that NoD scored 21 points.

exhibit A why ND fans are clueless:

from comments on a blog entry on FanNation...

"I think that Charlie Weis needs to learn the same lesson that Urban Meyer had to learn. That to be respected he needs to go out an score and score alot. Urban Meyer had said that a win was a win no matter how little they won by the next year he just kept piling it on and won the National Championship. Charlie seems to hold the team back or not inspire the team for most of the game then expects to have the team rebound and win."

:slappy:

Come on Charlie...flip the magic scoring switch...turn Clausen lose...ND nation wants points!

Anybody know the heights on the SDSU corners? Until that tall NoD WR went down, it looked like the emu had realized that his receiver had 12" on the corner and just threw 3 or 4 consecutive lob passes to him. He might have a noodle arm, but it looks like he's not a total fuck up.
