Safeties(how many and who do we take?)

We are all of a sudden offering quite a few safeties it seems like. We have just recently offered Russell, Rowell, and soon to be Washington. Also Sledge is a safety prospect. I don't really understand this unless they are pressuring these kids into making them make a decision quickly so they take care of that need.

I havent seen any of them play and know little about them. I think there is more of a need for cb then safety, and does anyone know if any of these guys can play safety.

I am just trying to figure this out.

Here's a quote from Sledge's coach. Maybe he'd play corner or WR for us?

We sure have offered a slew of safeties and we have some good ones already on the roster.
