Saddest time of year..

hoat

I lick windows. What's your point?
It seems like just yesterday when college football started. The hopeful dreams of an undefeated season for the Buckeyes. The yearning for The Game(although when it gets here it's bitter sweet). The great time of betting on games and then going through the anguish of watching your "team" losing. The sound of pads cracking as someone delivers a crushing blow on defense. And mpst of all the atmosphere of college football. All these things and more that make this the greatest time of year, and yet as the season draws to a close also the saddest.

Just wondering what everyone does to bide their time until next September, and to relive and report your fondest memory so far this year. I figured I better post this before the scUM game since our best memory will be tOSU kicking the s*** out of that team up north. :)

Just look at some of the stupid topics on the Open Discussion board. Now, multiply that a few times and that's what everyone does. That and get engrossed in recruiting.

I get thru the next few months with bball season, tho this year will be a much more enjoyable time. Recruiting helps in Jan/Feb, and then march madness comes to the rescue.

After april is a preview of hell.

Re watch the season & enjoy Buck hoops this year! During the off - season, speculate the draft potential from the seniors, host a buckeye hoops/Mic$#@an win review, and drink fewer malt beverages. May attend a Bowl game should the Bucks play in Fla.....:oh:

i normally go to as many cavs games as i can..plus i love college b-ball so that helps out alot as well..watch all the games again, i DVR all of the big games from the season for all the teams, plus i have them DL'ed on my comp..

The worst comes when that dang baseball season starts...its just downhill till like august..then it starts pickin back up for me..

gosh..its weird..i seriously do get sad come this time of year..i wait all year long for college football..i study it for months and months, so when the first kickoff happens, i know everything about everytime and player on the field..the come november, i start to realize that we have 3 games left..

as corny as it sounds, its like my dog runs away in Jan, and doesnt come back till mid august..

Well, we could start a 2006 Texas game thread...of course now we have one game under our belts for which to compare ourselves with the Longhorns, but the earlier we start it, the better the chances we have of getting it to 7,000+ posts come September 9th, 2006!

... and give xrayrandy nine months to analyze Melton's non-TD like the Zapruder film? No thanks. :tongue2:

Best memory of the season so far? I think the field goal block + return against Michigan State. I went absolutely apeshit. Is that the turning point of the game? No...IT WAS THE TURNING POINT OF THE SEASON!!! I really have a feeling that after all is said and done, we will look back at that as maybe the biggest moment of the season.

The Texas game is also a great memory. The feeling like it was a National Championship game (and it looks like it really was, since had the Buckeyes won that game they'd likely be #2 in the BCS). It was just an amazing atmosphere, and the game lived up to the hype. Could be the hardest fought football game i've ever seen that wasn't an Ohio State/Michigan game.

I think watching TGII return 2 kicks against Indy (the penalty was HS), and then one against Minnesota, were pretty great too!

As for the offseason...I go to sleep after the Buckeye Bowl game and don't wake up again until September.

But I'm not going to think about that...and scUM game isn't bitter sweet to me. It's awesome. And it's either amazing afterwards or sucks afterwards. Especially when there is still a bowl game. The bowl game is bitter/sweet I feel. Fuck the weasels!
