I saved for years just to buy a boat and now I don't have the heatlh to care for one.
it only smelled real bad that first year. i mean most boats have some sort of "smell" to them. it was college and we had a boat. even if you had a gf you could watch the scenery.
thank you good sir. i hope you poured a couple drops out in the name of homies also...3074326;1464282; said:My next drink is dedicated to your boat. RIP.

this was not fishing boat, you could ski behind it. granted i wouldnt say it was a "ski boat" either. ski boats are usually high dollar fancy spancy watercrafts, this was humble but pragmatic.Best Buckeye;1464563; said:Ode to the Fishing Boat
When I was a young boy,
I met a girl,
along a nameless green canal.
The churning oil streaked water was lined with sand worn wooden planks and shacks.
Next to giant spools of drying grayed netting, I watched her in the water.
Her features were less then flattering.
She was awkward and her makeup was peeling.
But to me she was beautiful and she was forever.
I would stand next to her,
and watch the salmon flop down the man-made ladder falls,
while families walked by with their bounty of Carlson?s smoked fish and Leland candy.
Every year I would have to say goodbye,
but I swore I would be back, always.
And every year,
I return to the green canal next to the fishery,
and the first thing I look for is her.
She is always there; Lashed to a dock, bobbing up and down.
Empty of the morning catch, she rests.
Oh Boo Hoo Hoo

Ahem ,
Boats of all kinds are bought by men
They really don't need a reason,
Could be for fishing or just for fun
Or even the mating season.
Just a space to be just men
And maybe to quaff a few,
Or a platform to swim in a pool
To impress and bang a Stew.
Boats plant their anchors into men's hearts
And keep them from tearing free,
With dogs and cars and bikes and pals
they are always a part of me.
Work and slave to keep them afloat
with many a mighty swear men rend,
And with the end of each scarred plank
boats take a part of me.
Thank yew , Thank yew. (Bow).
