S Zach Domicone (Official Thread)

Film review

I saw the film on Zach and was impressed. Love everything about this kid. He probably gets his first look at safety. If he keeps growing bigger, he might grow into an outside LB. I'll look forward to the official announcement that is soon to come. :oh::io:

I'll see what I can find out on Domicone (looks like he'll be a Buckeye but as far as how fast this progressed)...pretty sure I've hung out with him before. I know some local guys were fairly high on him but I never thought Zach would get an OSU offer. Either way, it's cool to see another Dayton area Buckeye.

Here is his player page from the gwoc web site.

The Dayton Daily News make seem like he's already committed. Not the case?

Just a matter of time...he is going on the visit and if everything goes as expected he will be the next verbal for '08...

It would be great if he could be the "physical" safety the Bucks have been missing. No doubt we have some good DBs, but nobody that will really knock your block off. Nothing like a hard hitting safety to make a WR's butt pucker when coming over the middle.

I couldn't have said it better!

Looks like he might have gotten hurt against Trotwood and missed the game against the Elks.

First four games:
12 passes 95 yards
19 rushes 89 yards

Last four games:
7 passes 35 yards
20 rushes 187 yards

(Avg per game)

Edit:

That's where I know the name. His dad runs Domicone printing in Fairborn.

After reviewing his film, I think we have it all wrong. It is obvious that JT has given up on getting TP and he will be instituting the spread next year (to appease the critics of his offensive play calling) and is recruiting Zach as a dual-threat QB. Of course, this means that RR will be giving him the hard press to come and run his offense at UM next year. Stay tuned, this one will surely go down to signing day.

Timed at OSU and Akron's camp in 4.47. I never have a problem with offering a kid who is 6-3 210 and runs a 4.47 and shows decent instincts. Teach him the rest...

I see a future OLB...in the mold of Cie Grant possibly.

Good point! Cie was our QB in H.S. too but could throw the ball a mile and with a ton of zip, he also was a stud LB/DB too in HS. Not sure what Cie's 40 was but I know he ran a few sub 11 second 100m during track.

Could be an interesting development.

I love these crazy under the radar whirlwind recruiting stories. seems like we've had more than usual (at least in-state) this year with scruggs and truesdell (sp?) as well.

what does this mean for steve gardiner? the two have roughly the same measureables, and if gardiner was still hoping his grayshirt offer was going to turn into a regular one, I can't imagine he'd be too thrilled with this development.

It is crazy to see a football player from Beavercreek going somewhere. Usually, Beavercreek is better known for their marching bands than their football team.

Either way, yeah, that is a Donnie Nickey frame. And, I'm sure he can turn out to be a good one, especially if we redshirt him.
