Carolina Panthers Sign Former Ohio State Safety Vonn Bell
Former Ohio State safety Vonn Bell is leaving the Cincinnati Bengals to sign with the Carolina Panthers, according to multiple reports.

The Bengals were expected to prioritize re-signing Bell with the likely impending departure of fellow starting safety Jessie Bates, but it appears they were ultimately outbid by the Panthers, who add a veteran leader to their secondary.

Bell has actually been with the Buffaloes since last year, but had not formally been announced as a member of Colorado’s coaching staff until Saturday. His promotion to safeties coach comes after former Colorado defensive coordinator Robert Livingston, who doubled as Colorado’s safeties coach, left the Buffaloes to be the defensive passing game coordinator and secondary coach for the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
