S Todd Bell (All B1G, Pro Bowl, R.I.P.)

Very sad indeed. When I think of Todd Bell I always think of him stripping Charles White of the ball in the '80 Rose Bowl to keep us in the ball game. He was always around the ball, always hustling, always making big plays. Go #25!

A blocked punt vs.
Michigan in 1979, resulted in a TD
by Todd Bell. This lead Ohio State to
an undefeated regular season.

Segment to focus on Bell's impact at OSU as a football player and administrator

Jan. 26, 2006

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The late Todd Bell, a former Ohio State football player, will be featured on ESPN Sunday at 5 p.m. as part of the network's "Where Are They Now" segment chronicling the 1985 Chicago Bears, who won the 1986 Super Bowl 20 years ago. Bell was a member of that team.
Bell was the former program coordinator of the African American Male Resource Center at Ohio State. The segment will focus on Bell's impact at Ohio State as a football player and an administrator for the university. The African American Male Resource Center has been renamed The Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male.
Bell was a four-time letterman for the Buckeyes from 1977-80, earning First Team All-Big Ten honors in 1979 and 1980.
