Tyler Moeller Granted Sixth Year of Eligibility

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State safety Tyler Moeller has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, the school learned today.

Coach Jim Tressel was informed by the NCAA today and he informed
Moeller and the entire squad after practice of the news that Moeller, who has been out since suffering a shoulder injury against Eastern Michigan, was granted an additional year of eligibility.

Moeller, a 6-0, 210-pounder from Cincinnati and Colerain High School, will graduate in the spring with a business degree. He missed the 2009 campaign while recovering from an assault that summer.

Fantastic news for Tyler and for us.

Really, really terrifying news for lots of other schools. You know Tyler is going to pack all that entire energy from his missed time into next season. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.

Video of Tyler after he received the news today. It's good that he learned about this before TSUN week aned the last home game.

He also talks about his recovery from the pectoral injury. He has plates and screws that have been added just below his left shoulder.
