S Lathan Ransom (All B1G, All-American)

“That family feel,” Ransom said. “What coach (Ryan) Day is going to do with the program. And their new defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, coach (Jeff) Hafley - I’m really excited to see what he does. He just came from The League so he really knows what The League is looking for. He can take the type of defense they play in The League and bring it to college football. I’m really excited to see what they do this year.”
Ransom made official visits to Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and LSU. His decision is down to Ohio State, Texas and Notre Dame.

Ransom is still just 16 years old. He would like to announce his college choice the day he turns 17.
“It always gets brought up,” Ransom said about going to the same college as Robinson. “We’ve been playing together since we were little kids and we’ve really watched each other grow and we’ve become like best friends. We wouldn’t change one of our decisions just to go to the same school, but if we do end up at the same school it would be a blessing.”
