S Josh Proctor (Jacksonville Jaguars)

"Day said he did not know the specific diagnosis of Proctor's injury, but said he suffered a fracture and underwent surgery."

This bothers me. How could he not know the diagnosis of one of his starters? I have a crew of 50 direct reports, and would know what happened to them if it happened on my watch. Coach has a crew of at most 33 starters and doesn't know? That's an issue to me.

He said it was a fracture. What more do you want him to know? He's a football coach not a doctor. You want him to give you the type of fracture, what bones are involved, prognosis, ect? That's asking a lot of a CFB coach.

I know where babies come from. I don't believe in the stork, the Easter bunny, or Santa. I also don't believe a leader shouldn't know his people. Is that fair?
Or maybe the leader does know his people, and he doesn't believe it's his place to make sure the rest of the world knows every detail about one of his people's injury. Maybe he knows every specific, but still chooses to talk in generalities.
Or maybe, as someone once said, you're reading too much into it.

He does. It was a brutal break. Looked like the tibia and the fibula. Go back and watch the replay if you're into that kind of shit. Watch Dr. Abassi's video if you want a deep dive into that kind of injury and recovery (note that in the example athlete's case, Weidman had to have a second surgery which you can also find on that doctor's youtube page; also see the ones for Conor McGregor):

Or just maybe Day is protecting the kids privacy? You know, kinda like the law requires?

I wasn't saying that Coach Day should've told the world what the injury was. I'm saying that he should acknowledge it and say something different than "I don't know the details". It's simple.
That's EXACTLY what you are implying. It's none of your, or my business what the full details of the injury are. He said Josh had surgery for a leg fracture, so he knows what the injury is.
