Graduate of First Coast HS in Jacksonville. Apparently has some sort of role within the OSU football program...my guess is grad assistant or something similar.

From 11W recruiting article...

Another prospect whose name has been thrown around a bit lately is Jacksonville (FL) First Coast LB Daniel McMillian. McMillian committed to Florida back in February, but has said lately that he wants to take a look around, with the Buckeyes being one of the programs he has mentioned.
We checked in with a source who has his ear to the ground on this one and he said that while the Gators feel good about McMillian sticking, he feels Florida State and maybe even Alabama could be serious players in stealing this one. He wasn't sure where Ohio State stands, but we're thinking the fact that he is an Urban Meyer fan, has mentioned OSU numerous times, and has a good relationship with new Buckeye staffer and former Gator linebacker, Ryan Stamper (who also went to First Coast), means that this is one for you all to keep an eye on.

Left for the NFL, joining Urban Meyer at Jacksonville as Director of Player Assessment.



Chief among Stamper’s responsibilities is running the football program’s highly successful and proactive “Real Life Wednesday” initiative that puts business and athletic leaders in front of Ohio State athletes for real world education on life after football. The program includes resume writing and concludes each spring with a job fair that typically draws 50 to 75 businesses on campus.

There was speculation in another thread (that I couldn’t find, I was thinking about posting about Stamper in response to that if I was able to find it again) that Marroti may have lost his edge a bit in connecting with and motivating current players. He’s also a holdover from Meyer and in that sense I see him as possibly similar to Studrawa in both regards.

If there is any question whatsoever about either of those things, it feels like now is an excellent opportunity to bring in Ryan Stamper as the guy in the strength and conditioning program.

The seed of the thought was Johnnie Dixon calling out on Zach Smith’s podcast how great he thought Stamper was at his job.

And even if there are no question marks around Marroti, I still don’t think it would be a bad idea to try to bring Stamper back… you can’t have too many quality guys around the program.

20. NUCLEAR TAKE
Take a look at the arms and calves on Ohio State's players mid-Urban era, and then look at them now. These teams have the same Strength & Conditioning coach, which is hard to believe. Urban was absolutely obsessed with players looking like weight room aliens.

The number of First Guys Off The Bus has dropped precipitously. I realize this take is blasphemous and my eyes are getting worse with age, but perhaps Postgame Carmen isn't the only tradition that could use a refresher.

I used to think veiny guns on football players was silly, vain and superficial, and then my team started borking backfield tackles by the dozen in every game. My lizard brain can't help but wonder what kind of impact a possibly stale S&C program might have on that.

It seems plausible to me that Marroti isn’t on the same level of excellence without Meyer, and either way I think it’s possible that his style just might not be connecting with players as effectively these days.
