Ryan Leaf (Not Incarcerated)

I don't know. Big Daddy managed to play 13 years in the NFL. Never really at the level he did at OSU, but I wouldn't call that a "bust"
The original question was name a guy you thought would be a great pro but wasn’t.

I thought Big Daddy would dominate and be a HOF type, not a journeyman. I don’t consider him a total bust.

Who was the DL that got drafted by the Colts in first round who had some video game addiction and ended up out after a year?
Colts and addicted Buckeyes - must be some kind of a curse, Schlichter and then Pitcock.

And given the question, I think Schlichter is the perfect answer, but it wasn't his ability that failed him..

Going the other way, I thought Warfield would be decent, did not see him becoming HOF.
Matt Snell had some really good years with the Jets.

Tom Matte getting drafted by a team that already had Johnny Unitas, still managed to have a nice run as a receiver/running back, including 1965, a year in which the Colts lost Unitas and his backup to injuries and Matte stepped up. Shula put a list of plays on a wrist band - an NFL/College first - and Matte led the teams to a victory over the rams and then an overtime loss to eventual NFL champs the Packers.

John Hicks, Rex Kern, Ike Kelly, Hop Cassidy, Archie, guys I thought would star in the NFL and though Cassidy and Archie had nice careers, they just didn't make star status. Kern would have fit in with today's NFL QB type, but he was never gonna cut it as a pure passer.
