This was one of those type of weekends while the Buceyes were off that you really had to apply yourself to watch some college football! What amazes me is that there is literally no mentions of the TTUN v. Minnesota game! Let’s get rolling with the good!

I have to give it up to my Bengals who have gone out of their way in the first seven games of the season to convince me this isn’t a hoax. I have been a Bengals fan just about my entire life and the one solace I can take in this season if they do exorcise some demons and make the SB, is that the 49’ers won’t be there.

I imagine one of the reasons Andy Dalton is playing the way he is is because there is a healthy back-up that’s pushing him and this could be his money year. We shall see if the defense sticks to the stoutness it has right now. The main reason for the success of Marvin Lewis team is they are staying healthy.

My orange and black stripes are out a plenty this season and I cannot wait to see how the story ends!

Let’s see what the staff has to say about the Rumblin’

Scott – University of Dayton football team. Just a couple wins away from perfection. Would be first undefeated season since 1996.
Ken – The World Champion Kansas City Royals! One heckuva team.
Michael – Kansas City Royals. Wow. Total domination in the post season. No one stood a chance
JC – Two fold – The World Champion Kansas City Royals! And the Cincinnati Bengals (Oh yeah!)
Brandon – The Cincinnati Bengals rolling to a 7-0 start on the season. They have me stoked for this year’s first round playoff loss
MDotySr – Nothing Bigger than the Royals….Congrats!!

I love everything about @JT_theQB4th. Kid made a mistake. He'll get burnt at the stake for the next few weeks. Will be fine.

As much as I hate to beat things down, I have to discuss the disappointment I am feeling surrounding the JT Barrett issue. There have been many players make mistakes over the years who donned the scarlet and gray. I was struggling to remember a time when it had such a profound impact on the fan base.

I could point to some of the issue surrounding Troy Smith the season he took over for Justin Zwixk, that one really sticks out. I could also mention Maurice but that wasn’t directly effecting the football team at the time. The last time it was a captain(as far as I can remember) was Steve Bellisari and there were so many more fans actually relieved when that happened. I honestly don’t remember their being as big of an issue with Krenzel taking the rains then.

Whats at issue here for me is the fact that it appears to be so far out of characer for JT, that it makes no sense, or does it? Maybe we are just seeing a little preview of what type of kid JT truly is? I don’t think there’s much of a chance for that being true. I do however believe that he has done some damage to his relationship with some of the players on the team and it could show when he returns. Time will tell if he is truly forgiven by the players and he returns to lead them to the promised land as he was suppose to last season

One thing is for sure. JT Barrett has an uphill climb that may surprise all of us considering just how much Urban Meyer does love him. I believe coach loves the team as a whole more than he does JT.

Let’s see what the staff has to say about the Stumblin’

Scott – Didn’t want to go with JT but I guess his run in with the law qualifies. He will land on his feet and lead OSU to title
Ken – J.T. Barrett’s decision making. He got off very easy on this one.
Michael – Big 12 defenses. There isn’t any. None at all. Ok St 70 Texas Tech 53, are you kidding me?
JC – Ken is absolutely right – JT & his decision making. He DID get off easy. Let’s hope he makes the best of it
Brandon – College Football defensive coordinators. As we sit here and “worry” when the Buckeyes defense gives up 20 points, teams all around the nation are playing the equivalent of NBA all-Star game caliber defenses. I could not imagine the meltdown if Ohio State consistently gave up 30-50 points a game on defense
MDotySr – JT Barrett stumbled a bit as most young people do. Hopefully it will be a lesson learned.

When they ACC announces they've suspended the officials but not given Duke the win. https://t.co/OIF9uMtNan

I really struggled with what I was going to discuss here because as you can see below, there is plenty to cover! I am going to stick with something that I know very well and that is officiating.

I cannot fathom what it took for two to three of the officials involved in the Duke v. Miami game to ignore what was happening in front of them. That is exactly what they would have had to do to allow the things to take place that did. What’s even more shocking about this turn of events is that they now work with eight officials in college.

That’s 16 eyes that would have had an opportunity at some point to see any of the plays that were illegal and the play where the player was down should have had 8 eyes! I find that the mentality around suspending the officials is sending a message that these guys should even be working the D1 level again funny!

Hopefully they learn from their mistake and the two games off teach them a valuable lesson.

Let’s see what the staff has to say about the Bumblin’

Scott – Columbus Blue Jackets. Worst team in NHL. The Detroit Lions are telling Columbus jokes.
Ken – The NFL. If it intends to “grow” American professional football internationally, scheduling Buffalo-Jacksonville and Detroit-Kansas City in Wembley Stadium (nothing wrong with the venue) probably isn’t the way to showcase your “product”.
Michael – ACC officials. When your entire crew is thrown under the bus and suspended you screwed up big time
JC – The referees in the Miami – Duke game. What a shame!
Brandon – The National Media trying to turn the J.T. situation into more than it is. He is a very good kid who made a horrible mistake which could have ended his or someone else’s life. Urban Meyer laid down quick punishment and it will be up to J.T. to get himself back in good graces. The running standard around college football is a one game suspension and it has yet to be questioned by anyone until now. Why should J.T. receive more just because he plays for the Buckeyes? There will be much more to this punishment behind the scenes than simply one game
MDotySr – Matty Mauck, Missouri QB and his rest of the year suspension. An Ohio kid (as well as coaches kid) who had everything handed to him but decided to make the same mistakes over and over. There is nothing bigger than the team!
