"why do you keep bringing up poligamy? That is a different issue all together."
No, it isn't. Polygamy is a marriage issue. You keep saying, as if it is some kind of self evident, undeniable fact, that you should be able to have a legal union with your love. Well, if you a polygamist, and you love two people, you are not able to have an legal union with your love--just as gays cannot have a legal union with their love.
"So by this you are saying lesbians can get married, gay men can not... you don't make any sense..."
No, for a woman it would be a man. That should be obvious. I am a man, so if I choose not to marry woman, I'm not married. If I was a woman, it would be opposite. Talk about nitpicking.
"Wrong, it assumes they are humans that are citizens of the US and should be treated the same as hetero folks..."
Marriage is not a right of citizenship. If they can vote, their a citizen. And there's no law banning gays from voting.
"Sure, being gay isn't like being Black. One is a sexual identity, while the other is a racial classification. But both groups are born the way they are, and are not able to change it just by making a conscious decision"
I reject that premise. Skin color is obviously without a doubt something determined at birth. You simply cannot say that about sexual preference.
