Troy Has Legs
EA's newest installment of their rugby series came out, anyone getting it? My buddy from Xavier called last night when he got his copy saying they added quick lineouts and quick penalties, which is the one thing I wish they had last year.. they also added impact players much like ncaa06.. im getting my copy either after work or tommorrow

I finally got this game, now that rent has safley been paid. Its awesome, still way to easy to score but alot of features added make the game that much more realistic. My personal favorite is the offload pass. In a tackle this year, if your arms arnt wrapped you can press x(ps2) to toss it away in a tackle to a player. This will dick you over in traffic, but ona 2 on 1 situation you can take the last defendewr completly out of the play. Also new, are quick lineouts and penalties, used in the right circumstances they can be incredibly rewarding. On kicks into touch on penalties, the quick lineouts are dangerous. The quick penalities dont really work too well, even when it should. Things i still dont like, it's way to easy to make tacklers miss because of the way you can control the player with the analog and make cuts on a dime while staying at full speed. Its lacks something.. it dosent have the same feel to a rugby game, as playing or wacthing a super 12 match.. it's closer than last year, but not quite there in terms of feeling like an authenic game(ie. ncaa feels like a college football saturday everytime I play it). The last thing is, I wish they had a online feature. I wonder how this game sells oversea's and if there are enough users to have an online community. Theres normally 150-175 users on ncaa and I can see that for rugby...Its only 30 bucks too, which is another plus.
EDIT: Theres also Impact Players, they dont 'get in the zone' but they r marked with stars above their heads and can take over a game.
