MaliBuckeye

1) Be A Man.
If I remember right, there was a great BP gathering last time the Buckeyes were in Los Angeles- Any plans for a sequel?

If not, it might be good just to see who's going, so some of us can actually connect.

Heck, if the Oregon folks bring some of those micro-brews from Portland or doughnuts from Voodoo, I'd be OK with letting them show up too.

:oh:

What does everybody do before the game?

I know it is expensive to get a seat; however, go see the Rose Parade if at all possible. It is really the greatest man made visual spectacle in the world. Seeing it in person is sooooo much better than watching it on TV.

The Parade is truly outstanding but if your going to the game it is very difficult to do both for getting over to the stadium after the parade is tough. If your driving over from the parade expect about 1 1/2 hours for the traffic is awful. The ideal way is to park at the stadium catch a cab to the parade and then make the long walk back.

I'll be at the game and will be there early for some tailgating and if anybody wants to hook up just PM me and I'll get you my cell.

There is the hour and a half Bash at the Beach pep rally with Archie and Gordon Gee at Santa Monica pier on 12/31 at 3. Not really a tailgate but fun i am sure.

How far of a walk from the parade to the stadium?

where does everybody tailgate before the game?

The closest point of the parade to the Rose Bowl is the area at Colorado Blvd & Orange Grove (near the Norton Simon Museum of art). That's the beginning of the parade route and is about 1 mile from the stadium.

The Parade starts at 8:00 am and will end about 10:30. After the parade head up Orange Grove (going north toward the mountains, then hang a left on Rosemont Ave and it's a short walk from there. Have fun!

Pre game tailgating

From all that I'm hearing from people out here, is that there will be things going on in a majority of lots. Lot H is supposed to be where a lot of the main tailgating will be going on. Wed night there is a Buckeyes Party in Hollywood at a place called The Happy Ending.

If anyone would like to meet up Thursday night and plan on tailgating together (parking too), let me know. I've got 2 other people going with me, so looking for more to join us. If you have cornhole boards, that's a huge plus!

PM me for my cell number.

You can tailgate on the golf course outside the stadium. Just get there early because the traffic between the game and the parade can be fun. If you're taking public transportation (gold line), be prepared for either a long shuttle wait or a healthy walk.

I remeber driving through this golf course in a golf cart, with Andy Gieger, when we were out there to cheer for the Bucks, vs UCLA. He was in a hurry, and was kind of a dick to the guy driving us. LOL.
