Rob Gronkowski (party buses and porn stars)

Personally, I think Maryland is the team to beat...they have been in on him for a while and his brothers both play there. We still have a shot but Maryland may be tough to beat...

Ditto. And, I'm not certain that the Buckeyes are still interested. If he schedules an official, then I'll change my tune.

Gotta go against the grain on this one...I think Clemson has a great shot here. The Tigers took Jamie Cumbie last year and found him a home on the DL...Linthicum has already committed to Clemson, but Gronkowski is still a major priority for them. With Willie Korn coming in and his ability to stretch the pocket, they want someone who can hit the seams to keep the safeties honest and also another blocker for guys like CJ Spiller.

LJB, I think you are right...it doesn't seem like the Buckeyes are pursuing Rob too hard, especially given the offer to Rudolph and eventually Moore...

Clemson Will Get Visit From Big TE

By Phil Kornblut
TE Rob Gronkowski (6-6 250) of Woodland Hills, PA made an official visit to Syracuse over the weekend. The former resident of Buffalo is very familiar with the school but was nontheless impressed by what he saw. 'I liked it,' he said. "I knew everything but it was still a great time. All the coaches were great." Gronkowski's father is a Syracuse graduate. Gronkowski has not set any other visits but said three will be with Clemson, Arizona and Ohio State. He's not sure on his fifth and is considering North Carolina, Louisville and Ole Miss for that trip. He is also considering Maryland but won't spend an official visit there because he goes there often to watch his two brothers play for the Terps. Gronkowski said he hears weekly from Clemson recruiter Billy Napier. He does not claim a favorite.
