RIP, Athletic administrator (SID) D.C. Koehl

D.C. Koehl, an administrator in the tOSU athletic department for the past 39 years, passed away due to complications from a fall in November.

He was the communications contact for the men's and women's volleyball teams for the past 30 years, and got to experience the tOSU men's team winning their first national championship last spring.

He was a basketball manager for Coach Fred Taylor when he was a Buckeye undergrad in the early 1970s.

Actually met DC at UCLA during the national championships for men's volleyball while I was still at Pepperdine. Spoke to him via phone a number of times after that...

Great guy; willing to talk sports to a fan and also help someone wanting to grow in sports information and so forth. Was a true Buckeye; always wanted the best for the school and its students.
