BuckeyeMafia

A Leaf on the Wind
Alright, before my newest phone, I had no reason to buy these, because the preloaded ring tones were fine. This phone however, that is not the case.

Where do you guys buy your ringtones? Basically, I'm just looking for something that I can easily get on my phone, and somewhere I won't get ripped off a dollar.

Then.. to make this fun- what ringtones do you use?

Thanks.

I'm a Verizon customer. I downloaded ring tones and ring back tones through one of their programs you can use. I downloaded Buckeye Battle Cry, Hang on Sloopy, Across the Field, Le Regiment and Carmen Ohio. I have the ringback tones set up to play a different one each time someone calls me. I also use different ring tones for different people who call me frequently so I can tell who it is by the ring tone. I probably go a little overboard but what the hell. If you're a Verizon customer you can get all the info and prices on the Verizon web page.

I have verizon and never have paid for a ringtone. Just make a 30 second of whatever on your own and send yourself an e-mail (i have unlimited data plan,if you don't, the ringtone will cost what a pic message does). The email is your cell number, including area code, @vzwpix.com.

That is what I do as well but the e-mail is different for each carrier. Sent an existing e-mail a text message then you will be able to e-mail yoour phone anything.

Verizon has disabled this with some of the phones. So make sure it will work with your phone. When you send it to your phone go into the options and there should be one that says "save sound as ringtone" or something along those lines. If there's no option for that, then Verizon has disabled this feature on your phone.

I'm not sure becaause I do not have Verizon but if you saved it as a music file wouldn't you then be able to use the music file as a ringtone?

P.S.I don't know if that option is only on music phones or not as I only have had phones with MP3 capability.

Some phones have that option while others do not. Unfortunately mine didn't so I had to make my own ringtones and buy Verizon's music kit so I could connect my phone via USB and put them on it that way. It's a real pain in the ass

There is also another site that I use. Called mobile17; pretty easy, and you can make your own ringtones.

Basically if I only want a segment of a particular song, I get to cut and use it.

free unless you donate.

I've been wondering how to upload my own ringtones...GPA and reps for you.

Funny thing is, I literally bought an Ohio State ringtone about two hours ago. :smash:

Here are three mp3 snips I made that someone may find useful:

Buckeye Battle Cry (once)
Across the Field (ending)
Le Regiment (intro)
