Washington, recruited as a two- way possibility at wide receiver and cornerback, committed to the Buckeyes on the same weekend that he visited with running back Maurice Clarett, but he later reneged on that commitment when he made his announcement on signing day.

"Deep down in my heart, Ohio State was the school I wanted to go to," Wash ington said. "But I kept pondering it as I gave my speech, and I thought N.C. State was the best place for me. One minute before I said what school I was going to, I changed my mind and said N.C. State."

Hall, who played his sophomore season at a high school in Dayton, wavered on his long-time commitment to N.C. State after spending a season at Los An geles Valley Col lege in California. He was required to go to the jun ior college after he was admitted early to N.C. State. Hall, now a junior, could have played four years with the Buckeyes but will only have three years of eligibility at N.C. State.

"I am hyped up for it," Hall said. "This is the school I almost went to; now I am going to show the coaches on what they missed out."

So let me get this straight Dick Washington...you chose NC State, lost a year of eligibility, lost 5 games last year, play for a second tier program, watched the Buckeyes win the NC on TV instead of the sideline, and your coach has man tits....but tOSU missed out on you??

dude, it was hall that said that, not washington. relax, and read more carefully. I think all washington said was, "a football off the head hurts more than you'd think"

No, what Washington said was, "Deep down in my heart I wanted to be at Ohio State, and so naturally I made a last-second decision, completely out of the blue, to go elsewhere. No, seriously, it was totally unpremeditated...um, you know, the will of God, and all? Yes, I do always walk around with several schools' baseball caps in my bag. What are you laughing at?"

Somebody sounds like they have an EGO problem!! It must have sucked watching OSU win the NC. Somebody needs to show him the ring he missed out on.

BTW I think Holms and Ginn counter the loss of Washington...don't you? hahahahahahaha

Who does this guy think he is?
