Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

A little storyline that might be worth monitoring as this season plays out...dickrod's potential return to wvu. Dana Holgorsen is generally regarded to be on the hottest of hot seats in cfb. Dickrod might be looking for a way out in Tucson, and it appears he's probably never gping to take that program to tbe next level.

I've seen a few articles this offseason saying that the ice between dick and his alma mater has begun to thaw some, and the time might be right for him to return as they have drifted into barely mediocre territory since joining the big 12. Dick might be the shot in the arm their program needs, and it makes sense since his run their from 05-07 was probably the best in their history. Plus, with the triumph of LeBron "coming home", it's a marketing dream.

I wouldn't be even a little surprised to see dickrod "brought home" come December.

A former WVU player told me that the players hated DickRod. Which means it will happen.

This could happen. I know someone very close to him, Rich said he's in no hurry to leave, but doesn't see himself being in AZ forever. He said he would like to go Southeast.

Just sayin'; Dick Rod seems to be going downhill since 2014, I'm wondering if he is on the proverbial "coaches hot seat" yet.

Then again......

Arizona football: Rich Rodriguez’s buyout reportedly just under $9 million

As the Arizona Wildcats continue to struggle over the past year and a half, the public outcry for some sort of coaching change has slowly grown.

Since clinching the Pac-12 South against the Arizona State Sun Devils on November 28th, 2014, Arizona has gone just 9-13, including a record of 3-11 against Pac-12 teams.

There’s a lot that goes into a coaching change, and at Arizona, one of the bigger factors is money. And it will cost a lot of money for the Wildcats to get rid of Rich Rodriguez.

How much?

According to USA Today, just shy of $9 million.

Huh, and here I had him pegged as the best thing to ever happen to Michigan football.

Should have never left WVU
Nope. He had a good thing going at his alma mater, was practically a God there, and was at a school where the pressure would never get very high. Instead, he thought "Product Rodriguez" would work anywhere. It was essentially career suicide. He bombs out at *ichigan, and now after a decent start in Tucson, things are going downhill in a hurry. His best bet is to hold out hope that Holgorsen falls apart and he can go back "home." It looked like Holgorsen was a dead man walking going into this year, but he's bought himself at least another year.
