Not shocking but more crying from Dabo about changes
Dabo: Proposed roster changes 'so frustrating'
Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney says proposed changes to scholarship numbers and roster sizes could spell doom for walk-on players.www.espn.com
I don't get it. Schools go from having 85 scholarships football players to having 105 student-athletes on scholarship. Twenty student-athletes that would have been a walk on are now on full scholarship. That sounds like a good thing to me; and I'm sure that those 20 kids and their parents would agree that it is a good thing too.
I do agree when the 105 limit goes into effect, the walk-ons on the team that year that would put the team over the 105 limit should be "grandfathered" in (i.e. the limit of 105 could be exceeded to accommodate them).
That guy complains more than my wife. (did I say that out loud?)Dabo is college football's "old man yells at cloud"

With the length of a playoff season, the blue bloods do need more scholarshipsThese are the players on our roster who will play for us....
....and these are the players we keep around so they won't play for UC or Indiana or Akron or Marshall.
Agreed. With the length of a playoff season, the blue bloods do need more scholarships
Everyone else gets more too, so that amounts to over 2600 more kids on football scholarships. And with Title IX, that means 2600+ more athletic scholarships for women too
