She finally send a response to my e-mail regarding the naming rights
of 'The Game'.

My letter to her said:

Ms. Holbrook,
Why didn't you have the brains to pull the plug on the SBC deal like the President at UM? It was just another in a long line of bad decisions you've made at the university.
Why don't you attend the John Kerry rally and see if maybe he can find a position for you in his administration.

Her response was,

The president of University of Michigan was unaware of the proposal arrangement until I telephoned her and our legal counsel called theirs.

Is that a cop out garbage line or what? She's insinuating that she is somehow responsible for the cancellation. She's pathetic.

Someone who is computer savy should start up a www.firekarenholbrook.com website. Similar tactics helped UF fans get Zook fired, who knows, it could only help.

As a side note my friend dressed up as her for the game/Halloween. Everyone loved his costume, and tons of random people (students and alumni alike) stopped him for pictures.

Dislike for this "lady" is spreading as everyone is realizing how bad of a university president she is for OSU.

MolGen--I don't think the faculty are particularly enamored by Holbrook, but I don't know for sure. What I do know is that the faculty at the University of Georgia, where she served as Provost, were very happy to see her go.

I thought it was pretty funny at the IU game when she came onto the bigscreen with a public service announcement after Tressel's. All you could hear her say was, "Hi, I'm president Karen Holbrook..." and the crowd erupted into a chorus of Boos. So I'm aware of about 105,000 people who really don't like her. As for the researchers, I'm not sure... I thought OSU was only about the football!

I was at the Indiana game when she appeared on the big screen and all the booing started. When it happened I wondered to myself that if she were actually there at the game and heard all those boos what kind of thoughts were going through her mind.
