Respect from Horns Fans (tOSU tougher than USC?)

CONGRATULATIONS on a terrific win, Horns! Vince really looked in-Vince-able. Of all the other teams in Division 1, you deserved the win. I had no doubt they would pull off the score with seconds left.

Can't wait for the rematch at your place, Vince or no Vince (for our sake, no Vince!)

Thanks for the comment (I think.)

Don't know how you can say we would have kicked USC's asses.

It took a superhuman performace by your QB and you only went ahead of them with 19 seconds left in the entire game!

Would like to say we could have done that but I don't know.

IMO, Texas was a much better team. USC defense suprised me a little but once Vince started flicking the ball all over the place I think USC was fortunate to have been up that late in the game. Lienhart lost some NFL stock IMO and made the buckeyes look good. I look forward to a rematch in austin, hopefully we can contain vince just a tad better than USC. Good season.

Congrats to all the Horn fans out there. If there was anyone out there that I wanted to see win it besides us this season, it was you. I watched that Texas team beat us in Columbus and it made a believer out of me. I couldn't have scripted a better scenario last night for us to not be facing Young next year in Austin. He is the heart and soul of that Texas team. Regardless of what other Buckeye fans say, I don't want to face him next year. The guy is a freak, last night it was as if he was facing a J.V. defense for the most part.

Soak it in for a while Horns, but be very wary...you will face a hungry Buckeye squad in Austin next year......and the magic of this season will wear off (ask the 2003 Buckeyes....preseason #1).

After that game ended last night, Texas went back to enemy status in my book. Go Bucks.......Hook the Horns in 2006!

Congrats Horns!

I guessed long ago, that USC's defense would be exposed. USC had not played an offense like Texas, and with USC's suspect defense, I figured Vince would be able to pull out the win.

No matter who you were cheering for, it was still a great game. If ABC ever makes a DVD of it, I'm going to buy it. Not because I'm really partial to Texas, but because I love college football, and that was a college football classic.

Anyway, congrats again on being the team that put away USC, and won a NC in the process!

I was so happy for Texas last night as I watched them all basking in thier glory after 35 years of waiting for that moment. At that moment also i began to think of what took place in "September in the Shoe". That game, was the gateway to THE N/C game and the RoseBowl. My good friend, Mike Gottfried along time ago thought it would be USC and OhioState for all the marbles.

If Ryan Hamby could have only hung on to that pass, there would have been no way we woud have lost to PennState. Maybe i should have not stated it that way, but its the way i felt. I am reading the book "Friday Night Lights" and it is so much better than the movie. It really gives you a better perspective of what Texas highschool football is all about. I think its almost on even keel as Ohio highschool football. So congrats to all of Texas and the Longhorns for a great achievement and a great year. You certainly deserve it. Maybe our beloved Buckeyes can return the favor in Austin next year. Vince Young is one of the most gutsy QB's I have ever seen play. Kuddos to ya VY.

UT always has their games on professionally produced DVDs.

They are a little pricey (IMHO) - though the one that depicts their 2005 Rose Bowl victory is NOW available and surprise, surprise, reasonably priced, at $19.95.

Haha, thanks man. Congratulations on your title. Ironically, it took you guys 35 years to get your title this year, and it took us 34 to get our next trophy (and these two games are the best championship games I've witnessed, bar none). Congratulations on your victory, and we look forward to playing you guys in Austin next season.

Haha well how many championship games have you really been around to watch? They were still awesome games though.

So, if Texas is favored at all, you will go all-in with your vCash?

Depends on if Young is back and what the odds are. If Young is gone and Texas is favored by, say, 7 points, then hell yeah, I'm all in on the Bucks. If Young is back and Texas is favored by a couple points then I may put some, but not nearly all, vCash on the Horns. I don't recall ever placing money against us, so it would have to be some really unique situation. In fact, after thinking it over, I would probably not bet against us regardless, just out of principle and not out of fear of losing vCash.
