Report: LSU players involved in fight at club

Unless someone was killed, absolutely nothing will come of it.

If someone was killed LSU players found to be involved might sit out a series or two vs LaTech.

I apologize.

This week it's Les Miles, 2 weeks ago it was Richt. There are some with class and integrity in the SEC.

Yeah Odom has been in two or three incidents before too. One of those guys who just doesn't get it. Rumors are still going around that him and Benton will be kicked off the team.

Perrilloux won't play against Bama this week, not sure about his future with the team beyond that. Sucks that we won't have him, he's a big time player and it's a big game, but Miles is going to make him pay for what he did.

Confirmation of those rumors...

SU's Odom charged, while Perrilloux barred from practice

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Backup LSU linebacker Derrick Odom was charged with a misdemeanor Wednesday, accused of smashing a car window after a brawl at a nightclub last week. Soon afterward, coach Les Miles announced he was being kicked off the team.

Odom faces one count of simple criminal damage to property, according to Baton Rouge police. He was involved in a fight at The Varsity nightclub near LSU's campus early Friday, left the club and was caught on video when he returned an hour later and smashed an SUV window, police said.

A call to Odom's lawyer, Anthony Bertucci, was not immediately returned.

Miles said Odom, of Jackson, Miss., was dismissed as was walk-on linebacker Jeremy Benton, of Monroe.

Odom and backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who was also in the fight, were barred from practice this week. Perrilloux, meanwhile, will remain on the team but will not play Saturday, when No. 3 LSU faces No. 17 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Miles said.

He said that decision was made because Perrilloux, a sophonore, has missed the "lion's share" of practice this week.

Well good to see that Miles is laying the smack down and showing that he will have no part of kids who keep getting into trouble and starting fights..... UNLESS you actually play, much like Perrilloux, who I believe was reported as being the one who started the whole thing.

Attorney: LSU quarterback 'beat up' in altercation

The Associated Press
Published on: 10/28/07 Baton Rouge, La. ? LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux was "beat up" during an altercation at a nightclub, his attorney said Sunday.
Attorney Nathan Fisher said Perrilloux called him about 2:45 a.m. Friday to ask him whether Perrilloux should press charges. Fisher said he advised Perrilloux not to do so.
"My understanding is he got beat up," Fisher told The Advocate of Baton Rouge. "I'm confident after listening to what he had to say that he's innocent of any wrongdoing."

Cont..

If the lawyer is confident that Perrilloux didn't do anything wrong, then why wouldn't he advise him to press charges?

Nice to see ESPN's spell-checker at work.

He said that decision was made because Perrilloux, a sophonore, has missed the "lion's share" of practice this week.

Or maybe they were implying that he was sleeping through practice.

Uh thought what I said was pretty clear... it sucks that we won't have Perrilloux in a big time game, but Miles is letting Perrilloux know his actions will have consequences by benching him for this game.

And I am hoping and praying that Flynn doesn't get hurt!
