Remember this next time you go fishing

I am an avid bass fisherman, growing up my dad grinded the local circuits to make the B.A.S.S tournaments, but never fully made it, but we fished a BUNCH. My son has grown up on a bass boat since he could walk, now he runs the boat while pops and i take convenient beer breaks, LOL. When we went to Hawaii a few years back, my son and I wanted to go fishing, so we booked a small charter - only went maybe 2 miles off shore, caught a bunch of fish with too many vowels to pronounce, but man we got tossed around that boat - it looks fun, but damn that's not my speed at all

I tried going fishing off of a barge in SoCal and I got seasick on the shuttle on the way out.

Just got back from Erie, PA a few days ago on a smallmouth trip. I average about 90 days a year on the water (which is why I'll never quit teaching, lol)

If you still get to fish with your dad-man...cherish every trip.

for about 4 years in a row, we went every spring to Lake Russell, GA - this year we couldn't go because of my sons baseball - so we took a few weekend trips to Erie. We have 3 more years before we can head back south in the spring - those trips mean everything to me, a week of fishing with my dad and son
