Remember Log-In ID & Password

ScriptOhio

Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Buckeye Planet is no longer remembering my log-in ID and password. I check "remember me" when I log-in. Anyone else having this problem? My computer remembers other site's ID & password.

I had the same problem. If you have BP as one of your favorites... which I'm sure you do... you may have the option set to not remove cookies, etc. for your favorites. Once I unchecked that box and cleared the cookies all was good.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the help, it is working again. I'm not sure exactly what I did, I messed with the delete cookies, browsing history, and favorites settings, etc. It took a couple tries; but now it seems OK.

thanks again

Really appreciate everyone who has chimed in trying to help resolve these issues. That's the best way for this to get resolved.

A couple notes:

  • Chrome defaults to just deleting recent cookie history. You actually have to affirm/check (don't remember) that you want to delete the full history.
  • When you delete cookies, you don't have to delete ALL your cookies for all sites. Just your entire history with BP. So, to Tonyank (for example), I suspect you cleared partial history, and for all sites. You can clear BP's full history (for all time) without clearing history for other sites and affecting them.
  • As others have said, adding BP as a trusted site in IE8 is a fix for that browser.
  • All 'remember me' issues are the result of your browser having residue of old site information still stored somewhere. The fix is to clear that information out or to force correction by the 'trusted site' process. Detail your issues as best you can, and I hope (and highly encourage) others to offer suggestions that may help. I am definitely not a browser expert, and this is a browser problem, not something site-side (even though the changes to the site provoked the issues) that I can fix over here.

Thanks all around.

i couldnt find where you could delete partial cookies. I deleted everything lol logged in here and shoud be fixed :)

I may well be thinking about other browsers, although it would really surprise me if there wasn't a way to do it somehow.

I can say that with two different Chrome browsers, after clearing cookies and site data from 'the beginning of time' I have not had 'remember me' issues. I hope the same will hold true for you.
