What is a "regift"? I've never heard of it.

Essentially, someone gives you a gift and you don't want it/won't use it. You then turn around and give it to someone you think wants it/will use it.

somebody gives you a gift that you don't want so you give it to someone else as a gift from you.

It's totally OK to regift fruitcakes. Nobody eats them.

Once I got my mother the same scented Yankee candle three Christmases (sp?) in a row. She kindly pointed it out after the third time...I guess I liked the scent :)

I don't have a problem with it. Better to give it to someone else than throw it away, or put it in my attic with all the other crap no one wants!
