Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

a game they should have had...Duh-sty sits Phillips and hits Valdez in front of Hannigan and his high OBP and AVG...(I hate that tooth pick chewing mother fucker more every day)...the team fails for about the one millionth time to get a runner home from 3rd with less than two outs (0 outs at the time)...this is just not a good baseball team. It has no bench, has one superstar who may never play again after he has his leg amputated, bonafide functioning retards all over the place and the biggest tard of them all is calling the lineup every day...I can honestly say I have no fucking clue how they are 26 games over .500....sure, the Astros and Cubs suck and they've played them alot...but not 26 time. This team will still find a way to collapse down the stretch...at least Walt won't be able to bring that fuckwit back as manager after that.

My only real issue with Baker last night was leaving a clearly spent Cueto in to start the 6th which is his (baker) most common failing in regards to using his bullpen.

As far as the lineup and all the bench players go, I can't really blame him for that. Walt is the fucking genius that decided Valdez, Cairo, Paul and Heisey are an acceptable group of backups for a pennant contending team. If Votto comes back replacing Cairo with Frazier certainly makes it look a lot better but its still pretty underfuckingwhelming.

Bottom line last night was as bad as the lineup was it handed a 3-0 lead over to Baker, Cueto and the pen to start the 6th and they fucking blew it.

On to the WB's and knowing that all these fucktards have to do is play .500 ball the rest of the way.

You're right about Cueto. He should have come out earlier. He was not very pitch efficient last night. Dusty wanted to get an extra inning out of him to save the bullpen some work, and he actually caused them to have to do extra.

Cairo: .169/.200/.266, wRC+ 22
Valdez: .197/.224/.219, wRC+ 15
Leake: .245/.260/.388, wRC+ 69

Besides a situation where you absolutely need to avoid a strikeout (because he K's at a 30% rate), can anyone think of any reason why Leake shouldn't pinch-hit ahead of either of these guys after the 7th inning? Bring him in, let him hit and run the bases, and then sub him out, and at least you're not just throwing away the at-bat.

His name isn't on the dugout dice.

I know ORD doesn't post in this thread, so can somebody else post a picture of the plunger the Reds are going to get violated with this weekend?
