Since people seem to be interested again (sarcasm), I figured I would note once again Dusty is an idiot. Fred Lewis is now 1 for 6 on stolen base attempts. A smart manager wouldn't send him, and certainly wouldn't give him the green light to go as he pleases.

but at least he is putting pressure on the defense. Giving away outs is no big deal as long as the defense feels the immense pressure of a guy who is only successful stealing a base 17% of the time.

Completely incompetent base runner being the cherry on top of the .673 OPS sundae of suck that is Fred Lewis.

Too bad we are in such a tight pennant race or Yonder Alonzo could get some OJT in LF because it seems he might just be able to hit a little. As it is with the Reds in the mix for the post season Dusty probably feels he needs all the vets he can get into the lineup and, of course, its no time to start clogging the bases with a guy as slow as Alonzo.

Apologies if I just blew up anyone's sarcasm meter.

They are going to fuck everything up this weekend and get back to .500. Thank God for football.

I wandered into RZ for a bit tonight. There's a thread there with a title indicating that Alonso will be playing 3B tomorrow, a position he hasn't played since HS. This organization's handling of him over the past two seasons has been criminal.
