Giving away outs with a non pitcher early in a game is just fucking dumb. If he's that much of a liability to hit into a GIDP then put someone else in the 2 hole.

Oh wait I forgot, CF hits first and one of the middle infielders has to hit 2nd while the other hits 8th. Janish probably isn't fast enough to hit 2nd so.....

Stubbs had doubled to lead off, which made it even worse. He was already in scoring position for Votto and a double play from Phillips was a remote possibility.

I understand that Dusty would say that his team needed to find a way to cross the plate after getting shelled in the top half of the inning. That's the reason why you put your best hitters near the top of the order - so they can do that early and more often. Dusty should look to get out of their way in that situation.

i can't speak for crestview, but at least here in pcola as well as niceville, I see everything, I see more sec stuff than fsu, it actually depends how the teams are doing...bunch of fairweather fans around here....ton of aub/bama stuff the past 2 years

im sorry but after what i watched down the stretch last season and what i have seen so far today Volquez just isnt very good. Obviously its early but dammit quit giving up bombs!
