Reds Tidbits (2009 season)

How ironic is it when he was touted to be the guy to replace Cal Ripken Jr,/Mike Brodick at shortstop for the O's right?

How sad is it that the Reds got to see several years worth of sub replacement level MLB production from the guy, decided that his track record was all a fluke and signed him to a multi year FA contract anyway?

2 on 2 out with a pitching change.....it's about time to swing at the first pitch seen from the new pitcher.....

It's very sad. If the Orioles traded him for virtually nothing and then he was traded again from the Cubs to the Rangers for a bag of used batting practices baseballs....yeah that's pretty damned sad.....

No Cowboy, Willie Ts fear playing with the flu is not pulling a hamstring, it's shitting his pants while he spends the next 10 minutes standing on third.

yeah but he's shitting his pants because he's actually on third, not because of the flu

Brutally obvious that we need long/middle relief help.

I'm actually surprised the Reds have scored this many runs. I didnt think they had it in em.

but but but Marty Jr. and whatshisnuts said the Reds could have the best pitching in the NL....I'm confused....

jax, I'd like to point that your criticism of this team losing games 2-1 instead of 9-8 has been proved an unfounded judgment. You underestimated the versatility of this lineup to manage to find ways to lose both types of games. That type of flexibility is why you bring in the veterans. It takes a scrappy, consummate professional to find a new way to lose every night. The sooner you learn to appreciate this, the happier you will be.
