It happens.

I recall hearing one story where the recruit called the college coach recruiting him, but the coach didnt answer in time. It was against the rules for that coach to call him right back, so the coach told his wife to text the recruit from her phone and tell the recruit to call the coach back.

Although USC is shadier than most...

Would/Could anything materialize? I think these rules are stupid, to SC's credit, but hey man I also hate driving 55 mph (ok, 62...) and they're still rules. USC just loves hangin on the fringe huh?

look how hard it is for a top recruit let alone a top 10 recruit nationwide. It is hard to stay grounded, and not get surrounded by people who "look out" for your best interest.

Didn't want an individual recruit's thread to go off-topic, so I'll throw this here. I think that the above poster's statement is right on the money for so many young people. Often times, it's not the student-athlete who has their hand out/grumbling about situations/questioning coaches. The problem lies with those around the athlete. Immediate family, extended family, high school position coaches, high school head coaches, summer camp "gurus", personal trainers,....the list is endless, all know how best to maximize, (and profit from), what's best for so and so's career. I conveniently left out Mr Such-and-Such, whom he/she meets when they go to college.:wink2: Guess my point is, is these type of issues have to be addressed, and dealt with, early in the recruiting process. Maybe that's why, every once in a while, we see the Bucks take a pass on certain individuals. In conclusion, I am talking in generalities here, no specific/prospective recruits. There's my disclaimer.:biggrin:
