IMO, I would say it takes more than half of his coaching time since recruiting is almost a year-round function. Since he only coaches the TE, which is about four to five players max, that tells you he is very busy.
Hi guys, sorry I haven't been around to join in on all what is happening in Buckeye Planet. Been kind of busy lately with the job at the golf course and was getting burned out myself. So I cut back my days to just saturday sunday and monday. Now this new schedule gives me a chance to catch up with all the happenings going down. 1st of all i am still in shock over Connellys resignation and was hoping that it was not over any run ins with Coach "T". I wish him well in his new endeavors, but man he sure leaves some BIG shoes to fill IMO. This guy sure had a way with the young men under him and his wisdom of recruiting was "Top Shelf" material. You can be rest assured Tressel will take long months to fill this position. Its getting more and more difficult to recruit these days with the way young men in high school are playing the waiting game right up to the final signing day. These tactics can drive a coach up the wall and maybe Connelly has had enough and I don't blame him. I am sure he has seen the difference in the way kids were 20 years ago compared to the present day. Im sure its no picnic going on the road to recruit and being away from your family that much.
