Thats all you agree with...

Actually I would rank the backs exactly the same way...bad choice of words on my part. I should have said "the one thing I agree with enough to echo your sentiments is that...". Figures you would be quick to point that out. Sheesh.

Great work on the reviews...

Thats two people who I've seen compare Herron to Pittman. IMO, I don't see it. FWIW, anybody who hasn't seen Herron's senior highlights NEEDS to watch him. You'll see that not only will he be a good tailback at OSU, but could actually be a star IMO.

However, I would not compare him to Pittman. Pittman is a fairly straight line runner who has a great burst. He picks his hole and goes. What I see with Herron is a more patient runner with better shiftiness and a lower center of gravity. His speed is legit, but I would not say he's as fast as Pittman.

I've been saying it for a while, but his running style reminds me of a bigger faster Mike Hart. James Davis out of Clemson might be a good comparison as well.

I agree 100%.

I think he is a Mike Hart clone.

I'm sorry guys...when I watch Herron, I see a style very similar to Pittman. They are not identical but similar in running style and for those that can't see the film, I think it is the best comparison of guys that have come through the program recently. Like Pittman, he is patient and picks his holes wisely and lets the play develop in front of him. He is not the biggest burner, but has adequate speed, much like Pitt. I think Boom is going to be a contributor at OSU sooner rather than later and I think he is a great compliment to Saine. Boom is also closer in size to Pittman than Hart. Boom is listed at 5-10 190. Pitt is currently listed at 5-11 195 whereas Hart is GENEROUSLY listed at 5-9 and over 200.

Mike Hart is a diminutive power back that seems to get hurt and banged up quite a lot. I don't see that Boom.

James Davis would be a better comparison, but I would also compare him to Pittman as well, but Davis has more speed than both of them...

Pittman and Boom are both straigtline runners, but they both show the same moves when bouncing outside, when hiding behind blocks and running thru the tackles. As for Boom's speed I am not sure what it is but he was injured for the season, so I am sure that his senior clips are not him at full speed.
