As some of you know I am moving to Cbus, I was wondering besides OSU's gyms (way to crowded in the yr tho price is very right) what gyms do you recommend close to the short north area,Easton area(i will be working in that area) or any where along high? Any recomendations would be awesome!!

:oh::io:

Molgen not to sound wierd but what time do you go? What do you mostly work on?

I generally go during lunch. Lately I've mostly been on the treadmills since I'm training for the Chicago marathon in the fall. I sometimes do machines or free weights, but I don't really stick to any schedule with them.

The classes I've been to have been mostly evening classes, but they have a big variety of times, depending on what you want to do. My favorite I've done was probably the spinning classes.

I haven't been there nearly as much during the summer though, as it's much more interesting to run outside when the weather's nice. :)

Dublin Rec Center, if you live on the NW side of town Cbus. but since you don't, I'd go with the Easton gym.

Does anyone still go to Sawmill? I haven't been there in about 10 years.

Is that the one near Belthel(Sp?) and Riverside Dr.?

If so, my dad said that they auctioned off all the stuff and are totally renovating the place. Said it would be closed for about 6 months. I believe that was 2-3 months ago.

I used to go to a place over on 161, near Busch Blvd.

Its connected to a hotel(Best Western). When I started there the membership was $99, it was a special for atleast a year. The guy running the place went bankrupt and the hotel took back control of it. Its $185 now, which is still a good deal.

They have a 5-6(I believe its 5 lanes) lane 25 yard pool. Along with hot tub, and steam room at the pool area. Sauna's are in the lockerrooms. Two seperate weight rooms, one for free weights, and one for machine weights. They also have a running track overtop the pool area.

Overall, I like(d) the place. Its not big like your Lifetime Fitness or Gold's Gym, but it has the equipment every gym would have, just not as many machines. For example, Gold's may have 6 of a certain machine, and they only have one.

It is owned by the hotel, so of course the hotel guests use it. And the only thing they really ever use is the pool. So as far as weights, the track, and the exercise bikes go, you hardly ever see anyone using them.

It all depends on when you actually go, if its a weekend, later at night, the place is usually packed. If you go during the week and even some weekends, early in the day, most of the time you will have the place to yourself.

Well I think I've said enough. Don't know if thats what your looking for, but you should probably atleast check it out.
