REAL LIFE SUNDAY.....

SEVERAL BUCKEYES TEAM UP WITH NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOR THE CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK TELETHON

On Sunday, 10TV teamed up with Nationwide Children's Hospital for the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. The goal of the event was to increase funds and raise awareness for local children's hospitals. They aim to help with providing medical care to every child regardless of the family's ability to pay.

Several Ohio State football players took some time out of their busy schedules to help out with the event. The Silver Bullets were especially well represented on Sunday.

Some players who were in attendance included Sam Hubbard, Jalyn Holmes, Tracy Sprinkle, Dre'Mont Jones, Nick Bosa, Jonathon Cooper, and Chris Worley.

The "good stuff' that football player do never gets the same amount of publicity as the "bad stuff" does.

However, I'd be more inclined to call 614-460-8003.....

As a parent of a prospective college athlete, albeit not football, I do not understand how one walks away from an opportunity to be a part of this program. I started to say, 'play for Urban,' but this transcends coach. The stuff that he's bringing is forever program changing. Looking at how others are adopting it, it's changing more than tOSU for the better.

Coach will go down in history as one of the best ever because of his success in W/L. We're damn lucky to witness the reasons for which he should be known and those things are far away from the W/L columns.

What a great day to be a Buckeye.

It comes as no surprise that ESPN thinks Clemson and Cal are leading the way here....:roll1:

Clemson, Cal leading the way in career training

Jeff Davis' office occupies prime real estate in Clemson's gleaming new football operations building -- just off the lobby, a few steps from the Tigers' national championship trophy. The location was a considered choice by head coach Dabo Swinney. Davis is something of a showcase item for the program.

A poster featuring Davis' former teammate, William "The Refrigerator" Perry, hangs on one office wall, and footballs memorializing some of Davis' biggest games as a player line the shelves behind his desk. There's a stuffed tiger perched on a bright orange chair next to him, which after some inspection, Davis realizes has been signed by former coach Tommy Bowden. It's there, he said, to entertain any kids who might stop by.

The decor is something of a shrine to Davis' alma mater, but he isn't here to sell Clemson football. He's here to tell players how small their chance of success on the field really is.

"I told 'em I wanted a sign above my door," Davis said. "It'll read, 'The House of Truth.'"

I doubt that ESPN would ever have a "good news" cover story about Ohio State, especially one that would help in recruiting.
