Five-star RB trending towards Ohio State
If one five-star recruit having ties to the Buckeyes wasn’t enough for you, how about two? TreVeyon Henderson, the nation’s No. 1 running back in the Top247, has been a topic of discussion lately, and has seen his name associated with the Scarlet and Gray on more than a few occasions. On Monday night, he dropped his top nine schools, and making the cut alongside Ohio State were Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, UNC, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
Like many of this week’s Buckeye commits, Henderson has seen a wave of OSU Crystal Ball predictions in the last few days. After 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong submitted his CB for Henderson to Ohio State on Monday, three more CBs predicting the same thing came in on Tuesday, with 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brain Dohn part of that trio. It is a similar situation over at Rivals, where all five FutureCasts for Henderson are for the Buckeyes — and all coming in the last two days.
Ohio State came into this cycle looking to haul in a pair of top-tier running backs. They already have half of that dream scenario with Pryor in the fold, and the addition of Henderson would be the icing on the cake. The Bucks are still apparently high on the list for Michigan four-star RB Donovan Edwards, but are incredibly unlikely to grab all three. With Edwards most recent CB on Tuesday afternoon predicting him to Georgia, maybe Henderson’s commitment to OSU is more set in stone than we think.
