RB TreVeyon Henderson (National Champion)

“The Buckeyes' coaching staff is accumulating just an embarrassment of riches at almost every position on the recruiting trail -- running back not the least among them,” writes Kercheval. “Henderson joins a deep running back group led by Master Teague, but he's skilled enough to get carries during the season. The No. 1 running back recruit in the 2021 class has seen his first-team reps increase over the course of camp, and he gives the Buckeyes a weapon out of the backfield and in the return game. Coach Ryan Day is used to splitting carries between his running backs and quarterback, so don't be surprised if Henderson gets his early in the season. From there, all it will take is being the hot hand for his numbers to build.”

We all pretty much knew he was going to be good, but damn. He's this good, this soon? I honestly hope coach D limits the touches a little early on to 5-7 for the same kind of plays. Having that burst come CCG and Playoff time is a killer and he's got a long long season ahead with some older guys that can take the beatings for now

Remember, it has been a long time since he has actually ran the ball in a real game. Didn't get to play last year. Just wait until he gets in a groove and gets some carries. Running the ball is a feel thing, a rhythm thing, and cannot be duplicated in practice no matter how hard the scout team tries. It just isn't the same. He needs game speed carries to get into a flow. Then lookout. That is why the best backs get better as the game goes on, ie Ibrahim.
