What has C.Wells done to deserve to start and play half the game? What is his longest run? How many 100+ games has he had? Yes he was a 5 star recruit and has a promising career ahead of him, but he won't be the offensive key to beating Michigan. Next you'll be saying start J Zwick and leave Troy on the bench to get JZ ready for Mich.

Read Tressels comments about WELLS, he's OSU'S 3rd down & short yardage guy before, you can compare him to zwick a back-up QB. Whose not even the really # 2 QB on the team. He's just a senior and last chance of any PT and we all know how Tressel shows respect to those that have been great for the team .

If we get up on IU or NW early and it gets ugly, let Maurice get some carries for goodness' sake. He has earned it as well.

The only way I agree with the idea of using Beanie more is to put him in for a series, an ENTIRE series, instead of bringing him in on 3d and two and so everyone knows what in the heck is going to happen. Unless... you bring him in on 3d and two and then hit Robiskie in the endzone!!!!!

I think Beanie has learned his lesson about fumbling but still, he FUMBLED and doesn't deserve any more PT than what he's been getting.

Why don't we just play the second team in the first quarter of every game from here on out? This thread rates pretty high on the retard scale. Chris Wells is getting his reps, that's all that matters.

I don't think it's a good idea to not start Pittman, and putting him in the second half. He has played well enough this year to be the starter, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't go over too well with him or a lot of the guys to sit out a leader to let a freshman come in and start.

Now I wouldn't mind taking Pitt out at halftime or so, as long as we have a decent lead, because the RB position is one where you want to keep your guys healthy and fresh. Working in some backup WRs would also probably be a good idea, and get a lot of experiance for all of the guys so we are prepared for the big games at the end of the year.

without reading more than the first post im going to say this. honestly id expect 12 to 15 carries a game for the next few weeks for pittman, if you need to ask why look at hart last year for michigan. they rode him down the stretch and he was so beat up and battered at the end. had they been able to conserve him a bit and if he was healthy i dont think many of us would have been happy with the outcome...
