RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

I did hear that, BuckeyePride.
Too funny.

Not too long before Clarett is on the porch in Youngstown telling Uncle Rico stories.

"Man I wish I could go back in time."
Yeah, thats exaclty what I posted in the prior MoC thread yesterday, lol.

"How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?

Man, if the NFL would had drafted me early, my team would have won the championship. Believe, things would have been different. I wouldnt have got cut, been making millions of dollars. I would be livin it up in a big old mansion somewhere. Soaking it up in a hot tub with my soul mate right. Say Jim Brown, I recken you might know about time travel?"

Oh8ch,
I look back on the 2002 National Championship with fond memories as well.

Guys like Tim Anderson, Kenny Peterson, Will Smith, Matt Wilhelm, Michael Jenkins, Craig Krenzel, Cie Grant, Donny Nickie, Darrion Scott, and Alex Stepanovich.

They make the memory of that season a very special one. It's guys like that that won the national championship. Guys like Mike Doss who came back for his senior year because he wanted the TEAM to win the NC. That national championship was all about team.

Mo Clarett holds very few fond memories for me. He has done everything he can to bring shame to the university and program that we love. He was something special on the field (when he was on the field and not hurt), but he has tarnished his legacy beyond repair, IMO. He is not a Buckeye.

And mark my words, he isn't finished yet. There are going to be more accusations from the Clarett camp and espin.

Really a sad story. Not surprising, but sad. I remember thinking back in 2002 that he was going to end up the best Buckeye RB of all time, a surefire Heisman winner, and a top draft pick in the NFL. What a colossal waist of talent. Coaches around the country will probably be using him as a cautionary tail :2004: .

Unfortunately he still hasn't run out of people willing to take a chance on him. You would have thought after all the sue NFL, slander OSU, poor showing at the combine blah blah blah he would be done. But the Broncos took him in the 3rd round...:shake: But he has to be running out of chances right?

He shouldn't ever see the field in the NFL, but who knows?

Oh JEEZUS ysu, you're probably right. Screamin' A-hole Smith will probably book him all 5 days of the week to talk about the raw deal he's gotten from everyone he's ever come into contact with...HS Monday, OSU Tues-Thurs, Pros Fri....

As for the "Karma is a bitch" versus "NC" debate, well, both are true to an extent. Yes, he played a part in some big ballgames to get us that NC, but he was also hurt a lot, and a lot of other players stepped up at key situations. Did we win that NC because of MoC? Nope. Would we have won it without him? Probably not, given how important he was in the Michigan game especially.

He also burnt way to many bridges as far as I'm concerned...I don't wish terrible things on him, but I don't care if he ever makes it in the NFL or in life, either. It's his talent, his contract, his whatever...whatever happens is on him.

The people who should be lined up and just absolutely bitch slapped are the ones who have been giving this dumb fuck advice since he first got into trouble with the NCAA. He didn't dream up this "sue the NFL and play hardball with OSU" shit all by himself. He's too fucking dumb.

I'm as glad to see him lie in the bed he made as anyone but some other fine folks(mom, wife beater Brown, Friend etc..) helped him turn down the fucking covers a little bit.
