Looks like Boogie Knight is playing RB and Slot for Akron for the 2020 season. After this “free year” , I wonder if he will transfer back into a power 5 program for his final two years of eligibility.

It might depend on if he qualifies for (proposed) new NCAA rule to allow one time transfer without sitting out a year. Technically, he already transferred once. However.......
Realistically I'll say no. He walked on at Ohio state (2017), and then transferred and walked on at Akron (2018). In 2019 he earned a full scholarship at Akron. I'm guessing that next year will be his last in college. He has to:
1) know he doesn't have an NFL future, so there is really no "career reason" to transfer.
2) be appreciative of Akron giving him a full scholarship.
3) have graduated (i.e. after 5 years in college). At least he should have.
4) realize at age 23 or 24 (with a college degree) it's time to get on with "life after football".
