I personally don't feel like he did this past season... I just don't think he has that gear that zeke or even Weber does.He won't "run out of gas" this year!

If you're a short back like he is it's tough to outrun people. Which is fine IMO because he will be king of the 30-50 yard variety and his moves in the hole are second to none.
I'd be shocked if his tendency to get caught was because of him wearing down though. Shoot his touches per game really weren't that heavy late in the season because of Mike coming on.
I just don't buy that to be honest. Maybe he will prove me wrong but he went through spring ball, went through summer conditioning and the dude is a beast.I have read that it was a "stamina" issue that will be addressed by more "conditioning". Plain and simple, he was a true freshman who missed his senior year in high school so his conditioning needed work.

I'm not knocking him but at 5 foot 9 (he looks even shorter) it'll be so hard for him to run away from defenses. Imo he just will lack that final gear that seperated the 50 yard hitters down inside the 15 with 70 yard touch downs.
Which is fine because he will be enormous when it comes to yards per carry. Rarely do backs break the 50+ traders anyways so as long as he keeps throwing out 7ypc that's unbelievable.
I'm completely fine with this also because again ypc IMO is more important. Best back in the big ten and may be the country.
Plus... then we put in Weber who's fully rested and slam away.Yeah, I agree. I’m totally good with a couple of 50 yard plus runs that end up inside the 15 per game than one 80 yard run that goes for a TD. Plus, I like watching opposing LBs and DBs run the field like that a couple of times a game.

I just don't think Dobbins will ever have that extra gear to go 80 but that's ok. I'll take the crazy yards per carry instead. He's so consistent that it makes up for it.
We knew Barkley was legit when he went for 190 on our 2015 defense. We all knew early zeke was special also.Who knew Weber was so fast until he got better conditioning?
Who knew Ped State's Barkley was going to develope into a 235 pound Heisman qualifier and First round NFL pick?
Zeke was a "track guy" coming out of high school.
Kids can "develope" with proper conditioning.

That said Barkley, Weber and Zeke are upwards of 5 foot 10... Dobbins IMO is lucky to be 5 foot 8.
I don't care though because he's going to be the best RB in college football for the next 2 years
ThAts hard to compare because Chris Nelloms was probably around 160 to 165lbs on good day compared to 210 on Dobbins.... that being said Dobbins definently has the speed to break long runs a 4.38 in the 40 can attest to that. fatigue in the 4th quarter doesn’t make you “not fast enough “it just means he ran out of gas. Weber had to lose close to 20 pounds for him to break the long ones . And Weber is around 5’9 himselfHate to bring up the name, but the fastest Buckeye in the 100, 200, 400, Chris Nelloms, was only 5'9".
